Advocacy Success: Motion Passed re: Genocide

Assalam Alaikim Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Last week, the Parliament of Canada voted on a motion, which passed unanimously, to declare that the crimes behind committed against the Uyghur Muslims in China is in fact, a Genocide.
Therefore, we sent the below thank you message to our local MPs. We will also be continuing our efforts to push for quicker acceptance into Canada of our brothers and sisters who are escaping the Genocide:
Today I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you. Thank you for voting for humanity. Thank you for voting to take a stand against wrong. Thank you for calling out what is happening to Uyghur Muslims for what it is – a Genocide.
The world cannot stand by and watch the utter destruction of a people in such a brutal manner. Though there is much work to be done, and many human lives to save and protect, declaring the crimes being inflicted against Uyghur Muslims as a Genocide is an important first step.
