Residents of the City of London who are at least 18 years of age are eligible to be appointed to a City of London Board, Commissions or Special Committee. We encourage all Muslims to engage in this important community work. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at 4:30pm.
Very briefly, the openings are:
Audit Committee – must have an accounting designation;
Committee of Adjustment – deals with some applications relating to properties and getting changes made on a property;
Committee of Revision/Court of Revision – hears complaints regarding drainage charges, sewers, sidewalks, curbs and gutters;
Covent Garden Market Board of Directors.
Eldon House Board of Directors.
London Police Services Board – guides the direction of policing in London.
London Public Library Board – governance, legal and financial oversight of the Library.
London Transit Commission – oversight of London’s bus system.
Middlesex-London Health Unit Board.
Plumbers & Drain Layers’ Examining Board – must be a licensed plumber or master plumber with at least 10 years of experience.
